All in all it was a great weekend. It sure didn't start out that way, but it ended up being great.
First of all GEORGE MORLAN may be the water heater king of Portland, but ask for help on a faucet part and it is a whole different story. The sales rep that tried to help us was worthless and his buddy was just as bad. First off, the dude says to my wife, I have friday fevor and I just want to get out of here. So Erin had to give the dude a pep talk to, are you kidding me ?
So then we tell the guy what we need and just because it is a DELTA faucet, you would have thought we had the world's worst faucet. I could go on and on about how worthles the guys was, but the bottom line is that we came out of their with nothing and have no plans to go back.
Saturday was a great day. Got the day started with a nice family breakfast at the Wichita Pub in Clackamas (GREAT FOOD) then we headed out to pick up our new couch- thanks to Eric Carlson for loaning us his pick-up and for helping unload when we got home. So it is a 3 piece sectional with a pull out bed. Anyways- the dude's loading it getting in the pick up and we strap it down ( or so we think), as soon as we get on the freeway, Erin looks back and says - pull over !!
The sleep piece had tipped and was almost falling out of the truck, luckily there was one more ty down in the truck ,so we used that over the top and the problem was fixed.
Got the couch home and then moved the dinning table from the garage into the dinning area. So let me say again- my wife Erin did an AMAZING job of picking out the right colors and furniture for the house
Then it was off to the softball tourney, where the girls played probably their best game of the year, but lost to Molalla 6-4. We did win the second game against Beavercreek, so that meant we played on Sunday at 11 am.
So on Sunday we show up and guess what. The other team no- shows , so we get the win by forfeit and move on to the 3 pm game. So we shoot home, have lunch, move a few more things in the house and then head back to the field. Where we get beat 14-6 and are eliminated from the tourney. All in all, it was about what I expected. We did the best that we could with the talent that we had- just keeping it real folks.
So we headed home and had dinner in our house - the first meal in our house since we had lunch on January 31st- the day of the fire. So with the girls having air mattress blown up in the playroom and the couch having a pull out bed, we decided to spend the night there. We should have our new mattres's on thursday. We just hung out and watched TV and we knew we were finally home. It just felt comfortable.
So today (Monday 6/22/09) they are starting to bring back our stuff that has been cleaned, so by the end of the week, we should have all of your stuff back and start to settle in in this week.
Have a great day !!!!!!!!!!!
